Research and Reproduction Policy
General Photography Policies
At the Old Depot Museum, visitors are welcome to take personal-use photographs and vides to record their experiment. Visitors may use these photos and videos for private, non-commercial use. Visitors may use handheld cameras, smartphones, and tablets with the flash turned off.
Visitors may not:
Use flash.
Bring bulky bags or equipment into the museum.
Use stabilization devices (i.e., tripods, monopods) or selfie sticks within the interior of the museum without pre-arranged, written approval.
Use images of the museum or its collection to promote any product or service.
Engage in any commercial photographic endeavors without pre-arranged, written approval.
The Old Depot Museum reserves the right to restrict photography at any time, in any location.
For the professional and commercial use of images of and within the museum and its collections:
Requests are processed in the order received. All requests for materials and permission to publish are subject to approval. Copyright restrictions may apply.
It may take up to 8 weeks to fulfill requests for digitization and/or permission to publish. We are unable to accommodate rush requests.
The fee schedule is based on the material requested, use, and distribution.
Permission is granted for one-time, non-exclusive usage in one publication, for one edition, and agreed upon languages and distribution. Additional language editions and subsequent new editions will be considered upon application.
Any publication of this work must bear a copyright notice as prescribed by the Copyright Law of the United States.
In the use of television or films, full credit must be included in the program credits, and when applicable, in the accompanying manual.
All orders are subject to approval, particularly for orders that require digitization or for any order larger than 5 images. For complex orders, a fee of $50 per hour will be charged for special handling.
All fees and sales are final.
Image(s) will not be provided to the applicant until payment of fees (if applicable) is processed by the Old Depot Museum.
